It is with the deepest sadness, we inform supporters, of the passing of mini horse gelding, WH Tabu, yesterday. Tabu came into care in May 2013, alongside 15 of his family, as part of an RSPCA case. He was a quiet stallion at the time, gelded in the September, and always a beautiful boy to handle. He did still run the mares a lot, despite being in a large paddock, and was fostered out recently, to a loving home, where he had sheep for company and lots of one on one attention. Sadly, he started showing signs of colic around lunchtime on Wednesday. Vets Paul & Claire from Barwon Equine Hospital, worked with him, but he sadly lost his battle. It has been said that we love 'everything with a heartbeat', which is true, in part. Once that heart stops, the love stays on. May Tabu journey well, to wherever his next destination is, & may his memory live on in all those folk whose lives he touched.
